A small wedding + Hotel Monaco = a perfect match

Like so many other modern professionals, Delaney and Ryan met at work and bonded over a mutual love of caffeine. A culinary trend would emerge through their romance and luckily bring them to Hotel Monaco Denver when they were seeking a venue for their wedding. “We found Hotel Monaco Denver through our love of Panzano! We have enjoyed many meals there, and as self-proclaimed foodies we wanted our wedding dinner to be amazing,” the couple said. They further fell in love with Hotel Monaco’s aesthetic and while lounging in the Living Room, decided this was the perfect place to say “I do.”

A stand-out for the couple through their wedding planning process was how committed the hotel was to bringing their vision of the ideal wedding to life. “One of the best memories we have about our wedding are the people we worked with to make it happen… It was like [our wedding coordinator Sandi] read our minds because when we showed up everything was exactly how we had imagined it,” said the newlyweds.

Post-wedding, the couple got a taste of Hotel Monaco’s Honeymoon Suite before jetting off on their own honeymoon adventure, but it was hardly enough. “The room was amazing, we are planning on spending our first anniversary there because one night was not enough! The hotel even had a little goodie basket for our trip!” they shared.

Memorable Details

The ceremony took place by the handsome fireplace in the Living Room. “It was perfect. We had a small guest list of 25 people, and the room felt grand and intimate at the same time.” The décor included romantic lighting, candles and dark blue delphinium flowers to complement the soft greys and whites of the Living Room. “Hotel Monaco also has a gorgeous chandelier in the living room, everything just worked together so beautifully.”

The venue is gorgeous, the food is delicious, but it was the people at Hotel Monaco that made our wedding a dream come true.

A string duet welcomed guests to their seats before the ceremony and stayed through the cocktail hour in the foyer and wine cellar, where the reception also took place. “The food was amazing, we had the salmon with risotto and steak and gnocchi, our guests are still gushing about the food 2 months later!” Then it was back to the foyer for cake and the first dance. And to cap off the night? Board games!

The couple could not say enough about the positive experience of working with the staff at Hotel Monaco Denver to make their wedding dreams a reality, particularly their wedding coordinator, Sandi. “She was always ready to answer questions, no matter how silly they were, and her knowledge kept us calm through the planning phase.” And when it came to the wedding day itself, Sandi continued to exceed expectations, helping Ryan surprise Delaney with a first dance and, perhaps most importantly, having glasses of scotch waiting for the couple post-ceremony.
